1919
November, 1919 Kayaba is Born
The Kayaba Research Centre was founded by Shiro Kayaba, he was aged just 21.
1983
Malaysia Production Begins
Kayaba (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd was incorporated at Sungai Rasah, Klang.
1985
Permanent Factory Established
Operations moved to a permanent manufacturing facility at Telok Panglima Garang.
1996
Power Steering Pump Production
Kayaba Hydraulics (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd commenced production of power steering pumps expanding into steering system components.
2005
New KYB Logo & Identity
The new KYB logo was launched, and the company officially adopted the name KYB-UMW Malaysia Sdn Bhd.
2014
ED Coating Plant Implementation
Introduction of ED Coating (water-based) with the completion of a new coating plant, enhancing quality and environmental performance.
2017
Suspension Kits Business
KMSB expanded into suspension kits, producing Coil Spring, Strut Mount and Bump Stopper to provide complete suspension solutions.
2020
New Plant B Commissioned
Plant B was completed with automation and ESG initiatives, reinforcing KYB commitment to efficiency and sustainability.
